Three Story Evangelism

At our meeting we went through some training around the 3 story evangelism.
Essentially the ways in which we make Jesus known needs to be operated of a place of awareness for all 3 stories (My Story, God’s Story and Their Story)
It’s not about pressure or persuasion — it’s about paying attention to where God is already at work in in their lives and to gradually make them aware of who He is.
As We Disciple Young People, We Can:
- Get to know God's, their, and my story better
- Share snippets from the overlap between my/God's stories
- Alert them to how God's story already overlaps with their story

Emerge Notes
- We are mixing gender groups for Small Groups this term so;
- We build a culture that is less clicky ensuring our young people connect in more meaningful ways
- As leaders we stretch ourselves and communicate with different young people, building more meaningful relationships
- More insight into different feelings towards faith and diverse understandings of who Jesus is to them
- Our Mission at Emerge is to “Make Jesus known through meaningful relationships”
- Meaningful relationships - Meaningful relationships are relationships that are lifegiving and authentically supportive, holding each other to the highest degree of respect, trust and care. It means that as we walk with our young people in faith we also walk with them through their life journeys and our responsibility to ensure we help celebrate with them through the highs and/or support them through the lows
- Dinner first and last night of the term, allows us to create those meaningful relationships and have those faith convos, meet different kids, etc. START 5:15
- Our Let’s Celebrates to have around 7:20 - 7:30 upstairs room depending whenever the Arise team finishes their meeting and come up

Devotional/Centering
As a leader, you are first a disciple and child of God and that everything we do in this space comes from the overflow of what God has done within us. Every first week of the month at church we engage in communion. And what the symbolism of bread and juice represent is that Grace cannot be earned. Everything you do as a leader cannot earn you Grace, but it is in gratitude to what Jesus did on the Cross we do what we do as leaders.
